HILO AIRPORT (ITO) JEEP RENTAL

The two main population areas on The Big Island of Hawaii each have their own airport; Kona on the west, and Hilo on the east side of the island. Rent a Jeep in Kona.

Hilo is the smaller of the two airports.  Planes utilize its two runways. Although small, the staff is friendly, and, best of all, you can’t get lost in this airport.

You can get a bite to eat at Hilo International Airport (ITO) and find a gift shop outside the security gates. Hours of operation cater to flight schedules. Once inside security, you can visit exhibits that feature the island. There is no Internet service.

Transportation to and from the airport is handled by taxis or you, in your rental Jeep.
